    Whew! Just pulled in and had a shower.

    We are back from 8 Days in Tsavo East to carry on the MAPA work there. Exhausted but exhilarated too!

    Quite an epic journey, and we are just completing the data entry now, to send of the data to Craig and March.

    Some random facts:

    * approx: 1650 km inside the park
    * 300+ waypoints.
    * approx: 215 litres of diesel
    * 3 Punctures, aargh!
    * stopped by the cops once apparently for speeding. Thing is they didnt realise this is MAPA project with GPS gear! Told them where to jump!
    * lost count of the elephant and kudu
    * lions through camp once
    * elephant through camp every night, and oh yeah,
    * camped somewhere new every night!

    Standby for the data. Hope you like it.

    Salaams,

    Alex

    ps. why this forum so quiet! March, perhaps an email round robin to everyone to remind them to use it?
